Baby

Ella Louise

For those of you who don't know, I am a new mum! Our adorable Ella arrived in October 2014 and we are over the moon. She is the best thing that ever happened to us, and she really is our little miracle. I now get it when people would say to me that the love you have for your child is a love that you can't explain or understand until you have your own. It may sound cheesy but it is true, and we are very lucky that we get to experience this kind of love.

As some of you know I took a long break from writing blog posts and making YouTube videos. I took a break because I wanted to focus on pregnancy and to be honest, I needed some time to adjust to all of the changes that were happening in our lives (moving across the country, leaving friends and family behind, getting engaged, starting a new job, etc). Because of all the changes that we were going through including becoming a new mum, the route and purpose of my blog needed to change as well. I wasn't finding the same inspiration that I used to, and I wasn't loving it like I should.

Initially, Nelly gave me that inspiration. She is why I started this blog, and she will always be the beginning point of this journey. As you can see though, the journey has changed a lot and I now want this space to not only be about Nelly and raising a dog, but for it to also be a space about motherhood. I want to share my feelings, thoughts, and experiences as I partake on this new adventure. I know for myself that at each stage of pregnancy and at each stage of being a new mum, I have read a lot of other mummy blogs, and searched for endless amounts of information on the Internet. I have read some fantastic blogs and watched some amazing videos, which have not only helped me, but more importantly have been honest and from the heart. There is so much technical information out there, which can be useful, but honestly, hearing real words from other mums has been the biggest help for me. I hope that my honesty will help other mums as well, but no matter what I am broadening my blog because it inspires me, and being a mum is now my world. I think it's amazing to be able to create a time capsule that not only I can look back on, but that my baby girl can read or watch one day.

I love you to the moon and back Ella Louise.

Love mum x
